The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and his chief of staff John Harris were arrested by federal agents Tuesday morning on political corruption charges. The Tribune is reporting that Blagojevich and Harris are accused of a wide-ranging conspiracy that included offering to sell President-elect Obama's Senate seat to the highest bidder.
Politico.com is reporting that Rep. Charles Rangel's son received nearly $80,000 for work on two web pages. The campaign money was paid to a company run by Steven Rangel for work on the web pages. While paying relatives for work on behalf of a campaign is nothing new, experts who reviewed the sites placed the value of the work closer to $2,000 not $80,000.
